Canadian citizenship test — 15 out of 20 to pass

The citizenship test has 20 questions. You need 15 correct answers — that is 75% — to pass. You have 30 minutes. Questions are multiple-choice or true/false, drawn from Discover Canada.

What 15/20 means in practice

• You can miss up to 5 questions and still pass.
• There is no partial pass — you need at least 15 correct on the same attempt.
• If you fail, IRCC will schedule another test or an interview, depending on your case.

How to prepare for 15/20
